National mourning declared on 15 and 16 March for His Holiness the Patriarch Neophyte

By decision of the Council of Ministers, 15 March (Friday) and 16 March (Saturday) are declared days of national mourning to honour the memory of His Holiness the Patriarch of Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia Neophyte, who passed away on 13 March. 

The Holy Synod has announced that on Friday the 15th of March at 9.00 a.m. the mortal remains of His Holiness the Patriarch will be exposed for public memorial in the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky. On 16 March, Saturday, at 9.30 a.m. a funeral Mass will be celebrated in the church of St. Alexander the Great. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, 16 October. The body of the Blessed Patriarch will be taken from the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky to the Metropolitan Cathedral of St. Nedelya for burial.
