President Rumen Radev postponed the presentation of the first government-forming mandate until Monday, March 18, due to the national mourning declared after the death of Patriarch Neophyte. "Political passions are inappropriate in these days of universal humility and reverence for the memory of Patriarch Neophyte. Therefore, I am postponing the presentation of the government-forming mandate until Monday", Bulgaria’s head of state announced.
According to the initially announced programme, the first government-forming mandate was supposed to be handed over to the biggest parliamentary force GERB-SDS on Friday, March 15.
