Two-thirds of the biggest IT employers in Bulgaria are foreign companies

The biggest employers in the IT sphere are foreign companies, shows an analysis by DEV.BG, a company which brings in contact employers and job-seekers in the IT-sphere in Bulgaria.

The rating of the 100 biggest IT companies operating in the country, based on the number of IT employees on their staff, shows that 64% of employers are foreign companies, and the remaining 36% have Bulgarian owners. Almost all of the companies – 94% have offices in Sofia, 31% - in Plovdiv, 23% - in Varna, and 13% and 8% in Burgas and Ruse respectively, the analysis data show. The biggest share of the companies (67%) develop technological products.
