Access to several Bulgarian websites blocked temporarily over copyright

In an operation for preventing the illegal use of music, the Cybercrime department of the General Directorate Combating Organized Crime has blocked access to 12 websites subject to copyright and related rights, the Ministry of Interior has announced. The owners of the websites providing access to popular music with the option of downloading music in .mp3 format, have been established. The operation was carried out in coordination with Europol within the frameworks of the fight against organized crime at an EU level, for disrupting criminal networks and activities by individual entrepreneurs involved in intellectual property crime, run from Bulgaria. Documents and digital devices used in these illegal activities have been confiscated as evidence.
