Second draw for Nurgyul Salimova at the Candidates Tournament in Toronto

Nurgyul Salimova has recorded a second draw at the Candidates Tournament for the world chess title in the Canadian city of Toronto. The 20-year-old Bulgarian, who played with the white pieces, finished in a tie with the Chinese grandmaster Lei Tingjie - the winner of the last edition of the competition.

In the first round, Nurgyul Salimova drew against Grandmaster Anna Muzychuk from Ukraine.

So far, the Bulgarian chess player has one point in her asset, and the leader with two points is the Chinese Tan Zhongyi. The Toronto tournament is held over 14 rounds and the winner will become an official contender for the world title currently held by China's Ju Wenjun.
