Education, demography, healthcare are among major risks for Bulgaria, shows study

The 10 main risks are facing the country in the coming decade, shows a national expert study entitled "Ten years, ten risks for Bulgaria", BTA reports.

 "Deterioration of the education system" is the top risk cited by the poll. 

"Further deterioration of the demographic situation" and "Unreformed and ineffective healthcare system" ranked 2nd and 3rd. 

Corruption is ranked 4th. "Misinformation and manipulation of public opinion" is ranked 5th. 

Political instability and ineffective institutions are 6th. Distrust in the rule of law is the 7th risk. Social polarisation of society is 8th. 

Geopolitical conflict and loss of national identity with alienation of broad ethnic and social groups are listed as the 9th and 10th risks.
