Bulgarian artist Dian Kostov is transforming the biggest basilica in Brussels with his art installation Crossroads – the price of choice, the Bulgarian news agency BTA writes.

17-metre scenes from the life of Christ and Virgin Mary will be mounted on the façade of the Sacred Heart national basilica from 15 June until 18 August. The exhibition has already been presented, in 2023, in the Votivkirche Cathedral in Vienna, and was seen by more than 22,000 people of 37 nationalities. In Brussels, the exposition will be much more sweeping.

Inside the basilica visitors will be challenged to cover a spiritual path in three stages – the first is an introduction into the world of faith, the second begins with a big crown of thorns underneath which there is a mirror. Standing in front of the mirror visitors can ask themselves what price we pay for the choices we make. And the third part features 70 original icons and paintings by Dian Kostov.
