The musicians from P.I.F. will release a new, highly emotional version of their emblematic song – Fairytale, featuring some celebrated performers from the Bulgarian pop scene. Instead of P.I.F.’s frontman Dimo, whose life was cut short very early, the song will be performed by popular singers Grafa, Maria Ilieva, Mihaela Fileva, Svilen Noev, Stefan Valdobrev, Stenli, Poli Genova and many more. Love, light, joy and sadness all intertwine in the new recording of the song made by the constellation of Bulgarian musicians, who have all, one way or another, crossed paths with Dimo in his lifetime.

“We decided to get together, all of us friends connected with Dimo in some way, people who have worked with him, and, together, to record a brand new audio and video to the song Fairytale,” says Ivan Velkov, guitarist and co-founder of  P.I.F. “Ironically, in 1998, we recorded the song in Milcho Katsarov’s studio together with Dimo. And now, 26 years later, the new version of the same song is being recorded in the same place.”

The concert promoting the song, called The Fairytale goes on, will be on 25 April at a Sofia club, where the musicians will present the new video, and will take listeners on a journey back in time with the songs by P.I.F. audiences love best.
