Bulgaria’s boxer Rami Kiwan achieved the biggest success of his career at the European Boxing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. He defeated Russia’s Dzhambulat Bizhamov 3:2 in the men’s 75 kg final. At the beginning of April, the 23-year-old Bulgarian won an Olympic quota in the 71 kg category. Rami was losing after the first round, but managed to win the second round, despite receiving a cut.
