Bulgaria should further develop its approach to dealing with energy poverty and indicate concrete steps for its reduction - this is stated in the recommendations of the European Commission to the project of the updated national plan in the field of energy and climate.

Also, this country must explain in detail how and when it intends to completely abandon fossil fuel subsidies, as well as how it plans to move away from solid fossil fuels in energy production. Member States must submit their final plans to the Commission by June 30. The information comes from the BNR correspondent in Brussels, Angelina Piskova.
