54% of employees in Bulgaria say they are looking for a new job while they are in their current position, and the main reason for this is the pursuit of a higher salary.

This is according to a survey by a Bulgarian start-up company that connects companies with employees, reports broadcaster bTV. According to respondents, social benefits, extra days of paid leave and training and qualification programmes are also important for people to stay in their jobs.

An increasing number of employers said they had qualified staff for their positions, in contrast to the end of 2022, when only 34% of companies answered "yes" in the same survey. According to the poll, the greatest need for skilled workers is in the IT sector - 48%. This is followed by accounting, finance and audit (26%), engineering and technology (20%), customer service (19%) and administrative and office support (18%).
