25 years of music, 25 years of history, 25 years of driving force in the Bulgarian music industry - all this will be celebrated today by the musicians of D2 with a concert on the stage of Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

The band was created at the end of 1998 by Dimitar Karnev. The second member who joined was the vocalist Dicho Hristov, who later started a solo career, and Deyan Kamenov replaced him as a frontman. After a series of rehearsals in the building of the capital's 81 secondary school, the group began its first club appearances, which grew into an active studio and concert activity from 1998 to date.

Over the years, the group has made several tours in the country and participated in Bulgarian and international festivals, such as Eurosonic (Netherlands), Rock'N'Coke (Turkey), Rock for People (Czech Republic), etc.

There are also a large number of musical awards in D2's career, including for "Band of the Year", "Album of the Year", "Hit of the Year", etc., and twice they won the Grand Prize in the BNR's Golden Spring song contest.

The current members of D2 are Dimitar Karnev (guitar), Alexander Obretenov (bass guitar), Vasil Vutev (drums), Radostin Vasilev (vocals).

The band has four albums released. The first - "Ice Girl" (2000) - is the best-selling music product on the Bulgarian market for the last twenty years with more than 100,000 copies.

The group's first album was followed by "2002" (2002), "6" (2006) - recorded, mixed and mastered in four of the most renowned studios in Los Angeles, where Guns”n”Roses, No Doubt, Velvet Revolver, Tracy Chapman also worked .; "Phoenix" (2014), composed and recorded using a mobile studio in the atmosphere of a former government residence over two years.

D2 are currently working on an anniversary album with special guests, featuring some of the band's greatest hits, as well as many new compositions, some of which will appear on an upcoming album.
