A gastronomical festival presenting authentic food from Pleven region opens today in the central square of the town. It is part of the programme celebrating the day of Pleven, 15 May. The festival is organized by the civic initiative “Culinary Festivals in Bulgaria” and a local group Dolna Mitropolia-Dolni Dubnik.
Cooks from different towns and villages in Pleven region, as well as school children from the professional school for tourism Aleko Konstantinov will present local culinary traditions such as kachamak (polenta), lamb soup, eggs and onion, paprika stew with smoked meat and many, many more.
