Bulgarian weightlifters will take part in the Olympic Games in Paris after the Ministry of Youth and Sports found a way to provide funding, according to a statement from the ministry.

The participation of Olympic quota winners Karlos Nasar, Bozhidar Andreev and Ivan Dimov was uncertain due to unpaid fees totalling $36,600 to the International Association of Athletics Federations for doping controls at the European Championships in Sofia.

Karlos Nasar is one of Bulgaria's favourites for an Olympic gold medal.
