Google provides scholarships to young researchers at INSAIT

Google is donating USD 1 million for scholarships for young scientists working at the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) at Sofia University. This is one of the largest global scholarship donations by the technological giant in 2024. 

Google DeepMind Vice President Slav Petrov announced the donation, together with Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Education and Science Professor Galin Tsokov, INSAIT Founder and Scientific Director Professor Martin Vechev and Boris Georgiev, Director of Google Cloud for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The event brings together experts, business leaders and innovators to discuss the latest trends in cloud technologies, the effective use of AI technologies in education, the public sector and business.
