11th grader from Russe wins silver medal at the International Philosophy Olympiad

Ventsislav Velev who is in the 11th grade in the Baba Tonka high school of mathematics in Russe won the silver medal at the International Philosophy Olympiad in Helsinki, with only two students – the gold medalists from Germany and China – ahead of him.
More than 110 students from schools in 52 countries competed in the Olympiad. For the 3
rd year running Bulgarian students have won medals at the Philosophy Olympiad, in which 5 to 10 students from all over the worlds earn medals, the Ministry of Education and Science says.
