More than twice as many pre-trial proceedings after reports of election violations

To this date, the Ministry of the Interior has received 156 reports of violations of the Election Code, caretaker Minister of the Interior Kalin Stoyanov informed. According to him, the number of reports is almost equal to the one in last year's parliamentary elections. However, the pre-trial proceedings are 70, which is two and a half times more than last year.

"The bigger number of signals shows the trust of Bulgarian citizens in the Ministry of Interior. The tasks set early enough and the numerous operational signals received as a result, which we are currently working on, are of big importance", the minister said. He expressed confidence that in this year too, there will be people punished for crimes committed against the political rights of citizens.
