German theatre journalist Dieter Topp has proposed the play "The Hague" by Galin Stoev for an award from the Europe Culture Forum for achievements in the field of culture. This was reported by the team of the International Theatre Festival "Varna Summer".

The play was performed as part of the festival's Showcase program, where Topp saw it. Dieter Topp's proposal is that the European award should be given to the director Galin Stoev, the author of the play Sasha Denisova and to the performance. The grotesque and dark phantasmagoria is based on real events and people related to the current war in Ukraine. The plot presents an imaginary version of the trial of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his entourage at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
