A total of 37 Bulgarian students from 15 Sunday schools abroad competed in the 8th International Bulgarian Language Reading Contest for first and second grade students abroad "Az Buki Vedi".
The event took place on 8 June 2024 at the Kesselheim Sports Club in the German town of Koblenz, where the hosts from the Bukvar Bulgarian School welcomed guests and participants from Germany, England, Italy and France.
The biggest prizes - King or Queen of Letters - are awarded to the winners of the contest. This year, there were two queens, as Gabriela Hinkova (1st grade) from the Az Buki Vedi Bulgarian Sunday School in Cologne, and Siyana Lomé (2nd grade) from the Cyril and Methodius school in Paris deserved the victory with their skills in reading Bulgarian.
