Dimitar Glavchev refuses to appear at a hearing in Parliament

Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev rejected the request of PP-DB to be heard in the National Assembly and will not speak at today's parliamentary session. The coalition insisted that the prime minister explain the reasons for the dismissals and appointments made at the State Agency for National Security (SANS), the State Information Security Commission and the Technical Operations and Intelligence agencies.

"Probably the reason is that some of the replacements are scandalous, to say the least - for example, in SANS there remained this deputy chairman who was mainly responsible for the fact that there were no voting machines in the first round of local elections," said Nikolay Denkov, chairman of the parliamentary group of the PP-DB.

The political force is also behind the initiative to question SANS chairman Plamen Tonchev over complaints received against members of the Public Council for the construction of the National Children's Hospital, as well as against the team behind the investment plan to build the private hospital "Mom and Me".
