Bulgaria sending troops to Ukraine is out of the question, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said at the beginning of his hearing in parliament. Glavchev was briefing MPs on Bulgaria's position at the upcoming NATO summit in Washington. In his words, this issue "has never been on the table, nor will it be", but political and practical support for Kiev remains a priority for Bulgaria.

Citing classified information, There is Such a People (ITN) and the BSP insisted that the meeting be held without cameras and microphones so that the documents outlining the Bulgarian position could be declassified in the parliamentary hall.

ITN's Toshko Yordanov pointed out that what Glavchev and the defence minister said was "true in general terms", but "in terms of content, it doesn't have anything to do with the documents in the 'secret file'". Yordanov expressed serious doubts that "if we agree with what is in this file, we might be giving up national sovereignty". Yordanov stressed that "President Radev was absolutely right when he refused to lead and defend such a position before partners or in NATO".
