Army personnel and two helicopters join efforts to put out big fire in Mount Sredna Gora

Army personnel and two helicopters from the 24th air base at Krumovo have joined the efforts to extinguish a big fire in Mount Sredna Gora close to Pesnopoy village, Kaloyanovo municipality and Mihiltsi village, Hisarya municipality.

The helicopters Mi-17 and Cougar took off from the air base at 1.21 PM and will help the firefighters from the regional fire department. The 61st Stryamska Mechanized Infantry Brigade have also joined in the efforts to put out the fire, as have volunteers, among them 12 members of the 112 volunteer formation in Plovdiv who say they are ready to send more people to fight the fire.
