Bulgarian politicians and institutions have condemned the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
"We are deeply shocked by the horrific attack on former President Donald Trump during a campaign event. We express condolences to the victim and wish a full recovery to those injured in the attack", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The Council of Ministers also issued a statement: "We categorically condemn the horrific attack against former US President Donald Trump during his presidential campaign. Political violence is unacceptable and incompatible with democracy", the Council of Ministers wrote on Facebook.
President Rumen Radev emphasized that violence and hatred threaten the democratic process and are unacceptable. ''I express my condolences to the people of the United States for the innocent victim'', President Radev wrote in the social network X.
