From July 15 until August 4, eighty-eight people from three continents will study Bulgarian at the University of Veliko Tarnovo.

The International Summer Seminar on Bulgarian Language and Culture will be held for the 47th year, offering classes with phonetic, grammar and vocabulary exercises in Bulgarian, as well as specialised workshops for beginners and advanced students.

Trips to Arbanasi, the Ethnographic Open Air Museum ''Etar'', Tryavna and the Black Sea coast are also planned. The traditional evenings dedicated to Bulgarian national cuisine, as well as learning Bulgarian folk dances and popular Bulgarian songs, are among the most anticipated.

This year, most participants are from Turkiye, Italy, Germany, Poland, Romania and Japan.
