More than 75 drone pilots from all over the world will take part in the Dron cup Varna FAI 2024 near the Varna suburb Asparuhovo on the Black Sea, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports. The event is taking place with the support of Varna municipality on 20 and 21 July in the zone next to the sports grounds of the local park near Asparuhovo.
The drone pilots taking part are from Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Latvia, Poland, Italy, France, Belgium, China, South Korea, Hong Kong and the US. There are two Bulgarian contestants, and they are among the country’s top drone pilots, while the contestant from South Korea is world champion. The contestants will compete in speed, skills and imagination in navigating a drone.
Over the two days of the event, visitors will be able to watch night circles, lightened night race, self-made racing drones, neon obstacles and non-traditional lighting installations.
