The first Bulgarian women's ensemble in New York, Yasna Voices, is part of the program of the La Casita Festival at Lincoln Center in New York. The last day of the festival, featuring Yasna Voices, begins at 4.30pm and the event is free to attend.

"Thank you Claudia Norman for inviting me, and for embracing our vision to deliver some of the music off stage. We hope the audience will be intrigued by the immediacy of the unamplified voices, the raw resonance of the ancient songs, and get a glimpse how the music lived traditionally in the villages", Vlada Tomova wrote on Facebook.

The choir was founded in 2002 by Vlada Tomova, a vocalist, songwriter and organizer of master classes in Bulgarian folk singing. In addition to Bulgarian music, the choir also performs Eastern European music.
