The construction of a ferry link between Tutrakan and the Romanian town of Oltenița is expected to begin soon, the mayor of Tutrakan Municipality Dimitar Stefanov wrote on Facebook after a meeting with his Romanian counterpart Mihăiță Beștea. The two have determined the location of the dock. The facility will be designed to transport cars, buses, minibuses and light trucks. "The infrastructure and the ferry will be built by private investors. The ferry link will facilitate the fruit growers and fishermen from Tutrakan who mainly export their produce to Bucharest.
