Romanian artist Saddo has been invited to participate in the second Balkan edition of the Pictoplasma festival for contemporary art, design and illustration, which will take place from September 6 to 8 in Bulgaria's Varna

Raul Oprea better known by his artistic alias Saddo is known for his solo or group exhibitions in Germany, Thailand, USA and Denmark and has also decorated walls in major street art projects on 3 continents.

"I didn't know there was a Balkan edition of the festival, I knew the original from Berlin since I lived there in 2008. I have always admired this festival and I was happy that it was happening in the Balkans," Saddo told the Bulgarian News Agency BTA. "I will have a talk in which I will present my evolution as an artist, since I graduated in Cluj and did street art, until today. I will have a workshop in collaboration with Habitat Pottery," the artist adds.

When asked why he draws with two hands, he says, "I always preferred to draw or write with my left hand, but in school my teachers 'corrected' me and made me write with my right hand. So I write with my right, but I kept my original impulse to do things with my left."
