Stoeva sisters will play in the badminton quarterfinals in Paris

Badminton players Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva have qualified for the quarterfinals of Olympic Games for the first time in their careers. 

The sisters from Haskovo overcame their Group B at the Paris 2024 women's doubles tournament. They recorded their second win in the stream - 2:0 (18, 12) games in 38 minutes against Americans Annie Xu and Kerry Xu. 
The Stoeva sisters had previously participated twice at Olympic games both times finishing 9th in the final standings - in Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020. 

Now the Bulgarians are guaranteed a position at least between the 5th and 8th place in the French capital.  

The rivals of Stefani and Gabriela in the dispute for a place in the semi-finals will be between the winners of the duel between Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning (China) and  Yeung Nga Ting and Yeung Pui Lam (Hong Kong).
