Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev committed to putting in place, during his term of office, legislative changes connected with the Council for Coordination of Policies for Bulgarians Outside the Country.

“There is a 3-month deadline for adopting a set of regulations of the council and its activity, work is underway and there will be a result by 5 August,” he said during blitz scrutiny in parliament.

According to the texts adopted, the Council of Ministers heads a permanent body whose obligation it is to coordinate policies regarding the Bulgarian communities and their organizations outside Bulgaria.

Dimitar Glavchev stated that preserving and popularizing the Bulgarian language and culture among our compatriots abroad is extremely important. “These goals will take strategic planning, synchronization with multiple state bodies and institutions,” he added.
