Weather forecast: Sun with showers on Sunday

On Sunday the weather will be predominantly sunny over most of the country. Cumulus clouds will form before midday over the Southeasternmost regions where there will be occasional showers. In the afternoon cumulus rain clouds will form over Northeastern Bulgaria and the Rhodopes, and there will be brief rain with thunder in many parts. There will be a moderate to strong wind from the Northwest. Maximum temperatures 30-35° C., for Sofia around 29° C.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny, with a temporary increase of clouds before midday over Strandzha, and in the afternoon over the Eastern portions of the Balkan Range and the Rhodopes where there will be occasional showers and thunder. The rain and thunder will be more significant over the Rhodopes. There will be a strong wind from the Northwest. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 24° C., at 2,000 m. around 17° C.

Over the Southern portion of the Black Sea coastline there will be rain before midday and over the Northern portion – in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures 28-34° C, temperature of the sea water 27-28° C, sea state 2.
