Ludogorets wins against Qarabag in Baku

The Bulgarian football champion "Ludogorets" achieved a valuable 2:1 victory in Baku as a guest to "Qarabag" in the first match of the third qualifying round for the "Champions League".

In the 17th minute, the home team scored a goal that was disallowed for an offside and the first half ended 0:0. "Ludogorets" took the lead in the 54th minute with a goal by Dinis Almeida. Unfortunately, in the 61st minute, the star of the Bulgarian team, Bernard Tekpetey, was carried off the field on a stretcher with a broken leg. In the 65th minute, "Qarabag" equalized with a goal by Juninho. In the 87th minute, Caio Vidal scored a decisive header that brought the victory of the Bulgarian champions. In the 89th minute, the scorer received a second yellow card and a red card respectively, leaving "Ludogorets" with a reduced squad. The team resisted the final pressure of Qarabag. The second match between the teams is on August 13 in Razgrad.
