The Bulgarian football champion "Ludogorets" achieved a valuable 2:1 victory in Baku as a guest to "Qarabag" in the first match of the third qualifying round for the "Champions League".

In the 17th minute, the home team scored a goal that was disallowed for an offside and the first half ended 0:0. "Ludogorets" took the lead in the 54th minute with a goal by Dinis Almeida. Unfortunately, in the 61st minute, the star of the Bulgarian team, Bernard Tekpetey, was carried off the field on a stretcher with a broken leg.
