Reconstruction of a Roman military camp near Apriltsi

A reconstruction of a Roman battle camp is being organized in the municipality of Apriltsi from August 16 to 18. The event in the park of the "Novo Selo" district is mainly aimed at children and family audiences. 

On Mount Ostrets near Apriltsi there are remains of a Roman fortress from the 4th-5th centuries AD, as well as remains of a Roman road. The program includes organized archery, legionary training, gladiator fights. There will be talks about ancient Roman history, tasting of ancient Roman food and drinks, prepared according to preserved recipes from antiquity. 

The youngest visitors will also have the opportunity to dress up as ancientRoman warriors.
