Seven people in serious condition after collision between car and van

Doctors are trying to save the lives of seven people, including four children, who were injured in a serious accident on the Yambol-Sliven road last night around 1:30 a.m. A car and a van with eight passengers in it collided head-on, as the 49-year-old driver of the car died on the spot .

A series of surgeries are being performed on two 12-year-old children in the hospital in Sliven. Another child was admitted to the intensive care unit. The condition of the 23-year-old driver of the van is also serious, the deputy director of the hospital Dr. Hrisant Hrisantov reported.

A 16-year-old girl and a 28-year-old woman remain in the Yambol hospital in serious condition and another has been transported to Plovdiv.

It is not clear how the serious accident happened. According to one of the versions, the driver of the car fell asleep behind the wheel.
