Police rally in front of presidential palace in support of interior minister

Police officers have rallied outside the presidential palace in Sofia, sounding their sirens in support of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. The demonstration followed President Rumen Radev's rejection earlier today of the proposed caretaker government led by Prime Minister-designate Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva. The reason for Radev's decision was the presence of Kalin Stoyanov in the cabinet.

"I would like to thank my colleagues for this spontaneous reaction against the unprecedented attempts to control the systems of the Interior Ministry," Kalin Stoyanov said in a comment on the protest.
