151 reports of corruption in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the first half of the year

During the first six months of the year, 151 reports were received with data on corruption acts committed by Ministry of Internal Affairs officials, according to the report on the implementation of measures from the Anti-Corruption Plan of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Internal Security Directorate of the Ministry is working on 137 of them, and eight pre-trial proceedings were initiated on its initiative.

For comparison, last year 352 reports were received, of which 276 remained for work in the directorate. 31 pre-trial proceedings were established.

When examining candidates for civil service in the Ministry of the Interior and for training at the Ministry's Academy for the academic year 2024/2025, 217 people were rejected for appointment or 11.7% of all applicants, as well as 108 cadets or 21, 9% of those who took the exam, it is clear from the report.
