A must see: the Bulgarian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale

The Bulgarian Pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale is a great success among international journalists and visitors. "It is a great recognition for us to be named as one of the must-see pavilions," says Dr Nadezhda Dzhakova, Commissioner of the Bulgarian Pavilion.

At the 60th edition of the Biennale, the country is represented by the project "The Neighbours", which can be seen until 24 November this year. The authors of the installation are Liliya Topuzova, Julian Chehirian and Krasimira Butseva.
"The Neighbours" tells the story of Bulgarians who were victims of political brutality.  With the installation, which represents the reconstructed homes of oppressed people, the authors want to encourage visitors not just to see the project, but to experience it.

International art magazines and editions have included the Bulgarian Pavilion in their lists of 10 must-see pavilions at the Venice Biennale.
