The migrant pressure on the Bulgarian-Turkish border has decreased by 70% compared to last year, said Chief Commissioner Anton Zlatanov, Director of the General Directorate Border Police. Anton Zlatanov met with Frontex’s Executive Director Hans Leijtens, who is visiting Bulgaria for the second time in the past few months.

It has been agreed that the Frontex contingent, which is stationed at the Bulgarian-Turkish border and is three times larger than last year, will remain until the end of this year.
