A fundraising campaign has been launched to support the firefighters in Rila Mountain

The mayor of the village of Samoranovo (Dupnitsa Municipality) has initiated an urgent fundraising campaign in connection with the fire in Rila Mountain, reported BNR- Blagoevgrad. The aim of the initiative is to urgently purchase firefighting equipment for extinguishing fires in inaccessible areas, such as back pack water sprayers, bucket pumps, battery-powered sprayers, radios, gas masks, etc. These tools will also be used in the future if fires occur again. Rayko Tsvetkov's intention is to establish a permanent volunteer team at the village council.

The civil association "Close to You" is assisting by providing a bank account for donations and is calling for solidarity. The account details have been published on the Facebook groups of the association and the village administration of Samoranovo.
