The union between the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the other left movements hope to achieve a real change that will be a real alternative for the Bulgarian citizens. According to the acting chairman of the BSP Atanas Zafirov, there is no place for "I" in politics, but for "we", BTA reported.

"We want to offer a left-wing model of governance not for its own sake, but for the sake of the Bulgarian citizens," Zafirov emphasized.

According to the temporary chairman of the BSP, the unification of the left parties "will not just guarantee" their participation in the elections, "not just give a good result", but also "give a bid to win the elections". "They will not be able to scare us, because they underestimate us, but the assessment will be given by the Bulgarian citizen", Zafirov pointed out, emphasizing that "the united Bulgarian left has an ally and that is the Bulgarian citizen".

"I am sure that from today the political landscape in Bulgaria is much different, there is already a real alternative and it is called "BSP - United Left", Zafirov said after signing the agreement on the unification. Nearly 20 left and center political entities signed it. According to Zafirov, next week several more parties will join the coalition.
