A memorial service was held in "Tsar Boris-Mikhail’ church in Tsarevo in honor of the four victims of last year's flood. Local residents and relatives of the deceased gathered to remember with love and gratitude veterinarian Dr. Daniela Yordanova, her mother, Judge Maria Moskova, and another man who lost their lives while attempting to rescue stranded animals.
The local residents recalled the horror of the floods. Some of them were alone in their homes, but managed to escape to the upper floors of their houses. A communal meal (kurban) was distributed in the churchyard after the memorial prayer.
