Sofia wants eased import of Bulgarian agricultural products to China

At a Bulgarian-Chinese business forum in Sofia, President Rumen Radev pointed out the advantages of the business environment in Bulgaria and the availability of highly qualified specialists.

"Every car manufactured in Europe has components manufactured in Bulgaria. We are talking about a high level of software, about autonomous cars, and other important progressive solutions," Radev said. He pointed out that the country is first in Europe in terms of the percentage of its territory suitable for organic farming and highlighted the prospects for increasing Bulgarian exports of agricultural products to China. The President also expressed his expectation that China will ease import procedures for Bulgaria, especially for agricultural products, which will contribute to the expansion of Bulgaria's market positions in China.

The head of state recalled that years ago he met with President Xi Jinping during a visit to China, where a declaration of cooperation was signed, based on which he expects "to have a branch of a Chinese bank here in Bulgaria, so that we can have more active business relations and guarantee their stability. Secondly, to finally have a direct airline between Beijing and Sofia".
