The Central Election Commission and the Council of Ministers will work together to increase confidence in the electoral process and ensure transparency in the elections, the Central Election Commission’s Chairperson Kamelia Neykova said after a meeting with the ministers responsible for various activities related to the electoral process.

In response to speculations about the quality of the paper for machine voting, Kamelia Neykova assured that the specialized paper meets all requirements and is supplied by the Bulgarian National Bank. She emphasized that since the amendments to the Election Code at the end of 2022, the Bulgarian National Bank‘s printing house has been providing the specialized paper for machine voting, which has additional security features.
