Renowned Bulgarian pianist Marta Deyanova has died in London at the age of 77, her son Martin wrote on Facebook.
Marta Deyanova graduated from the Bulgarian National Music Academy, and honed her piano skills at the conservatoire in Antwerp, Belgium. From the very outset of her professional career, Marta Deyanova won prestigious contests, among them gold medal at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Italy. She has performed on prestigious international stages. In 1994, Marta Deyanova emigrated to the UK and lived in London, continuing her career as a concertizing pianist and recording music. She ended her career in 2000.
