Some of the Bulgarians in Lebanon were evacuated on a government aircraft flight on Monday evening. The first group, consisting of 89 people, mostly families, mothers with children and elderly people, was welcomed by caretaker Premier Dimitar Glavchev. ''There is nothing better than seeing everyone on the plane smiling. Everyone is safe and sound. We are considering all possible options for evacuation, and a second flight is not excluded. I said that the most important thing is for the evacuation to be carried out in the safest and most secure way. Currently, more people are gathering for the second flight'', Premier Glavchev said at the airport.

None of the evacuees who returned with the organized flight has requested accommodation. The Ministry of Interior is ready to provide assistance with its facilities for those seeking temporary shelter.

The evacuation is taking place against the backdrop of a limited localized ground operation launched by Israel in southern Lebanon.
