On 23 October, Bulgarian author Georgi Gospodinov will be awarded the Knight of Arts and Letters order at the French embassy residence in Sofia.
The order will be awarded to Georgi Gospodinov by the French ambassador to Bulgaria Joël Meyer. The proposal for this high French distinction was made by France’s Minister of Culture Rachida Dati. The ceremony will be attended also by Marie Vrinat-Nikolov who translates Georgi Gospodinov’s books into French. Daniela Dimova, Galin Stoev and Kamen Kalev are the authors who have already been awarded the Knight of Arts and Letters order.
