A total of 259 reports of vote buying for the early parliamentary elections on October 27 have been submitted to the Ministry of Interior. 70 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated, 36 people have been detained, Minister of the Interior Atanas Ilkov announced at a briefing.

Twice as many IT specialists from the state administration who authenticate machine voting devices for the parliamentary vote have been provided by the caretaker government. This was what the Minister of Innovation and Growth, Rosen Karadimov, who coordinates the actions of the executive power in the preparation of the elections, said. In order to guarantee the security of voting, specialized paper with additional protection from the BNB Printing Office will be used. The CEC has taken measures to destroy the paper for the machines from previous elections.
