President Rumen Radev and NASA Administrator Bill Nelson discussed opportunities for expanding international cooperation in space exploration and technology. Bill Nelson gave a lecture to students at the Sofia University at the event ‘’Hello Space NASA Calling! -The Artemis Generation: How International Collaboration Will Fuel Our Journey to the Moon and Beyond".

"I want to encourage you that this is an exciting time to be involved in a space program. Bulgaria had good reasons to have a space economy, said Bill Nelson. In his words, it is the Artemis generation that will be able to travel to Mars and beyond. "Why shouldn’t Bulgaria have another astronaut?" the guest said in response to a question about Bulgarian participation in the Artemis program.
