At a meeting in Podgorica between the Minister of Tourism of Bulgaria, Evtim Miloshev, and the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajic, the future of regional cooperation in the sphere of tourism and the need to improve air connectivity between the Balkan countries were discussed.
Miloshev pointed out the need for the creation of a common tourist product uniting Bulgaria, Montenegro and other Balkan countries which talks have already been held with. "Tourists from countries like Japan and the USA often see the Balkans as one destination. Within a week, they want to get to know our culture, history and cuisine. Air connectivity between the capitals of the Balkans is crucial to achieving this," Miloshev said. It was pointed out that three airlines are interested in the implementation of scheduled and charter flights. Minister Miloshev's idea of destination "Balkans" continues with planned high-level meetings in Albania.
